Bacteriostatic Water for Injection is a sterile, non-pyrogenic preparation of water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative. It is the gold standard for peptide research because it allows for multiple-dose withdrawals from a single vial while preventing the growth of bacteria. The benzyl alcohol inhibits bacterial proliferation, ensuring the stability and safety of reconstituted peptides for up to 28 days when refrigerated.
